I was poked in the eye, should I see a doctor?!

Question: I was poked in the eye, should I see a doctor?
BEST ANSWER AWARDED:

I was poked in the eye about 14 hours ago while playing basketball, the poke was deep and I saw black with a white flash (like a camera flash kind of) and after that I was seeing triple for about 30 minutes. There on after it was foggy in that eye for a while... Today now, the eyesight is restored however it is swollen and red and feels a little different (via eye sight) then normal. It's also hard to move my actual eye around like it is sore to move it up and down.. I tend to focus on one thing.

So my question is, should I see a doctor? I have health insurance so money isn't a problem.

Treatment
If you get poked in the eye you will probably be tempted to touch or rub it, but you will only make the injury worse by applying such pressure. See a doctor for your eye injury, especially if you have any vision problems. Trauma can cause bleeding inside the eye. Even worse, you could suffer from a scratched cornea or detached retina...a doctor most likely will prescribe eye drops to keep the eye moist and to make it more comfortable to blink, an antibiotic ointment may be prescribed to prevent infection, and to treat any that may have already started...If its red at all I would go just to make sure your sight won't be damaged. Hope your eye feels better.

See a doctor man, this sounds incredibly abnormal. I think you may have really gotten some serious damage from that eye poke. Damage that may be permanent if you don't get it fixed NOW.

Go see a doctor, even if there is no problem, they at least can put your mind at rest.

If you are concerned about your eye, please do. Maybe you have an infection.

I would see a doctor to be on the safe side. Better to be safe than sorry

Put some *** in it.
