How to get to sleep early tonight?!

Question: How to get to sleep early tonight?
Okay, so I have a really bad sleeping cycle...last night I was up until 6:30 A.M. and woke up at like 1 PM...but tomorrow I need to be UP at 6:30 a.m. and need to fall asleep at 11 P.M. or so...but the problem is I know I'll have trouble getting sleep and probably get to sleep at like 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. Could somebody help me find ways to get to sleep earlier tonight?

Answers:

First off, you should get 7-8 hours of sleep (at least). So maybe shoot for about 10:30 to start going to sleep, especially if there's the chance that you could have some sleeping troubles.

Take these steps and I'm sure you'll fall asleep quicker tonight:
1. Do not drink any caffeinated beverages for a few hours before you go to bed. In fact, avoid drinks in general hours before bed, or else you'll be getting up to use the bathroom while you're trying to fall asleep (a glass of water or milk RIGHT before getting in bed won't hurt, though).

2. Make sure to wear loose, comfortable clothes (or none at all, if that's what you like) and make sure your bed is comfortable enough.

3. Go for a glass of milk before heading to bed; milk contains Tryptophan, a sleep-inducing chemical, which works best on an empty stomach (this will do great since you will have eaten a few hours before going to bed. Your stomach should be vacant by this time).

4. Block out any light and noise (unless you need it, such as the TV* or a nightlight).
*make sure to stay away from the nightly news if you are going to keep the TV on while going to bed; no one needs that kind of stress before trying to sleep

Good luck and I hope I helped!
