Am I taking too many vitamin pills?!

Question: Am I taking too many vitamin pills?
I currently take a 5000 mcg biotin pill every morning, a Centrum multivitamin pill every evening, and a cranberry pill every other night. I also take these vitamin c water solution packet things, but I am about to run out of it and I'm not sure if I'll keep using it because I want a pill.

The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm thinking of getting vitamin c and vitamin e pills. I want to now if I'm over doing it. I've lack these nutrients in my life and I need to get my life back on track and my body more healthy and healthy looking. Mainly scars and stretch marks. And I know I need vitamin c and e because I'm not fat but I have stretch marks due to lack of nutrients, or so I've been told. >_>

What do you think I should do? Should I take the vitamin c and e pills? Or am I okay without them?

Answers:

The centrum has more than enough vitamin C. A lack of vitamin C does not cause stretch marks, and extra vitamin C will not cure them. Too much vitamin C will substantially increase your chance of getting kidney stones.

Take the Centrum, and stop there. Don't let urban myths and marketing convince you that taking more is better. It isn't. The science is clear on that.

Excess vitamin C will leave your body with the urine because it is water soluble, but if you have a really big excess it could strain the kidneys.

Vitamin E is not water soluble, and stays in your body fat. Too much of any non water soluble vitamin can be dangerous. Best to stick to the RDA with them.
