How can i fall asleep faster?!


Question: How can i fall asleep faster?
i cant sleep yet im really tired i stay up all nit and day and my body is tired but my brain wont let me fall asleep how can i get some sleep

Some of Dos and Don't methods mentioned below which can help you to fall sleep faster:

Dos:
- Put a little honey in a glass of milk and put it in the microwave for a few seconds.
- Put on a TV or radio. The sound will make it easier to sleep.
- Picture a black surrounding when you close your eyes and focus on nothing but that.

Don't:
- Don’t eat or drink that much before bed time. Food may energize you.
- Don’t take naps during the daytime.
- Don’t drink much caffeine. That can keep you up for a long while.

eliminate caffeine a couple hours prior to bedtime, slowly dim the lites, get off the computer, TV, cell phone an hour before bed. Also, you can take a herbal approach if your sleep cycle is off:

Melatonin (about 5mg, 2 hours before bedtime) helps reset the sleep cycle
Magnesium (250mg, 1 hour before betime) helps relax muscles
MOST IMPORTANTLY, drink a glass of warm milk (250 ml - almost boiling) with 1/2 a banana, which releases the same stuff in your body as does eating a turkey on thanksgiving



I am pregnant and I go through this now, and I know how frustrating it is!

Usually it is because my mind is racing or I just can't relax, so if I am worried about something I just write it all down in a notebook so I can remember it for tomorrow and stop worrying about it tonight, then I just take a warm shower/bath and relax in bed or on the couch watching some TV/Movies and after an hour I normally am tired enough to fall asleep. If you are tired and can't sleep it is usually because you can not relax enough.

You can also try taking a unisom pill about an hour before you want to go to bed, it will help you relax and get sleepy especially if you just lay in the dark in bed. I find that helps amazingly well when nothing else will! Good luck!

I have this problem too, what I tend to do is listen too my iPod everynight when I'm trying to fall asleep. 95% of the time I fall asleep within 10 minutes of music. If not that then you should see a doctor and ask him for something you can take, if you don't lime the idea of taking medicine to fall asleep then don't worry, there's alot of natural ways. Hope you get some sleep.



turn off your laptop, mp3, and even your cell phone. the signal from it has been proven to affect sleep patterns. listening to music will stimulate you and obviously make you more awake. Being in the cold will make you more alert so i suggest closing the windows. If your brain is the one keeping you up, then you just have to lie still and try to relax.



well i have the same problem as you my body is so tired but my brain just keeps going and going. you wanna know what works for me??? drink and 18 pack of good ole' american Budweiser and then i bet you'll be able to go to sleep...

i have insomnia but I fall asleep fast when i start to listening to my Ipod. it has been a nightly routine, I can't sleep without it.
