What causes ringing in the ears?!

Question: What causes ringing in the ears?
Answers:

Tinnitus is caused by long exposure to loud noises 85db and higher. For example, blasting music through your headphones or earphones, loud music at parties, jack hammers, industrial noises, and even some pain medications like Vicodin can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus is described as ringing of one or both ears, whooshing sound of the ears, whistling sound and even clicking sounds. Tinnitus cannot be healed because the tiny little hairs that picks up sound are soften and then they sag by constant loud noises. Hearing protection should be used around loud noises including shooting ranges and even home power tools. Prevention is the best bet by protecting your hearing.

Ringing in the ears, or Tinnitus, can be caused by many reasons. Most often this is caused by exposure to loud noise or could be a side effect of medication. It can also be a sign of a wax blockage.
