your body obviously ready to go to sleep, it's like trying to make yourself hungry when your stomach is full. you can pass the time by reading or listening to music. then when the time is right, a train will arrive and carry you off to the land of slumber.
Yeah. The eye closing thing is good and I'm not Messing about. Like recently I've found a way to just switch off and that is to just close my eyes and relax. :) However right now my baby is kicking me so I can't sleep :(
Exercise, melatonin, cherries, beets, beef, dates, magnesium, bananas, (add these to your diet), honey, acupuncture, meditation, less TV

Some light exercise at bedtime often helps you to relax, unwind and switch off and that often improves your sleep.
close your eyes and relax. Or take medication if you really cant sleep
