do you use crutches after you get your cast off and for how long?!

Question: Do you use crutches after you get your cast off and for how long?
do you still get use crutches when you get your cast off and for how long

Answers:

That all depends on what the doctor says, and if you still have some pain when walking.

It will depend on what your doctor says. However, you will most likely be allowed to put partial weight on that leg. You will still do this using crutches, but it will slowly introduce your leg back into use. Most of this type of rehab will be accomplished in Physical Therapy. If you need crutches for over 2 weeks more I would recommend checking into getting something better than the traditional crutches.

The best crutches I have used are Millennial Medical Crutches. They have a spring shock absorber in the bottom and a comfortable ergonomic handle. I have used both their underarm crutches and their forearm crutches and they are fantastic.

You can get more info at their website or facebook page.

Good luck with your recovery.
