is it harmful to sleep with your pillows up too high?!

Question: Is it harmful to sleep with your pillows up too high?
so. i sleep on 3 pillows, with my neck VERY high up in the air...just because i find it comfortable.

but i wake up the next morning, with my neck hurting, (of course) and that carrys on through out random times of the day.

but my question is, does it hurt to do this? i mean.. i dont mind the pain.. it doesnt bother me that much so lol.

but i just didnt know if it does anything to your neck or stuff like that.. or thats it?

thanks

Answers:

it aggravates your nerve interference from your upper neck misalignment.

Pain is normally the body's way of telling you are doing something wrong. To have pain for a day or two when you try a new position is normal. Continuous pain isn't. Go to a living history museum and you will see that a couple of hundred years ago, many people slept propped up all of the time. It can help you breathe easier if you head isn't tilted forward. Also, you want to make sure you have some back support so it isn't all curled up. Look at hospitals -- they often raise the head of the bed. So your head up in the air isn't so bad, but the angle of your back and head might need to be adjusted.

Try using a neck rester (A 'C' shaped pillow), it comforts your neck more while you can still be angled higher up. If not, try supporting your back more, because if your back is out of wrack chances are your neck is going to be too.

My knowledge

If it hurts don't use so many pillows. I have pain issues throughout my body and i sleep with 6 pillows arranged around me. You just need to do trial & error to find the most comfortable position.
