If you don't want to wear glasses and can't afford contacts but your eyesight is bad, there's really nothing you can do. Surgery would be even more expensive than contacts. Either wear the glasses or find a way to get contacts, your eyes can't magically get better unfortunately. If it's seeing the frames that bother you, try a pair of frameless glasses.
Wear glasses. You'll be the envy of your friends! I got my current pair of specs from GlassesMe on the internet. Not the ones I'm wearing in my profile piccie, I love them but they didn't get the presciption right. The ones I'm wearing now are perfect and sooooooooo cheap. I used to have to wear the same specs for two years but now they're so cheap on the internet. It's possible to have a variety of pairs to suit your mood. Your optician might not be thrilled if you ask for your pupilary distance (vital for internet specs) but I was given mine. Also found a great website which accurately measures it, glasses2you.co.uk

Contacts, in my opinion are alot cheaper. They only cost ￡30 a month or ￡30 for three months if you want monthly and Glasses cost around ￡120.
Glasses are comfortable in my opinion but it's a pain to get up and put them on, the same with contact lenses. The only way to see properly without a burden is Laser eye surgery which costs around ￡200 per eye.
Try to find some cheaper contacts. Also, there are many fashionable and attractive glasses that you might like. If you don't like the look of general glasses, there are some that are pretty cool looking. Get laser eye surgery, u can get it on finance,my mum just had it done and afta 20 years of not bein able to make out anythin about a metre away she can c clearer then me! She only nEeded the one eye done aswel as her other eye would catch up with the one that was lasered! Would thoroughly recommend this even if u only went to the free consultation. Other than that go to your local opticians and talk through all your options! They will know your best options and have your best interests at heart. Good luck x
