what should i do about my acl?!

Question: What should i do about my acl?
k so im a cheeleader and they stupidly dropped me coming out of/ jaying down from a bow and arrow. (a stunt) i hyperextended my knee, tearing my acl and meniscus. and my mcl is strained. im pretty upset bc i really like cheer and want to be able to do it my senior year (still doing the tumbling and flexibility stunts that ive done in the past) and also in college. (im currently a junior) so i realize that people often dont get their meniscus repaired, but im not sure if i should go with out getting my acl repaired. with the surgery i probably wont cheer at another highschool football game (bc of the 9 mnth recovery period) and i'll only compete in 1 competition with minimal tumbling. some one PLEASE give me some type of good news! Thanks=\

Answers:

Recovery back to tumbling doesnt have to be 9 months so maybe you can work it in so you are back to being able to cheer but just not full out.

Here is a typical recovery timeline

If you don't get your ACL fixed, in the long run you'll regret it, badly. You might as well go ahead & repair it.
