Question: How do you have your liver 'pumped'?..?
Basically, 16 year old friend had a bit to much to drink lastnight...
He drank a bottle of vodka(straight), whisky(straight) and many other drinks...
he was taken to hospital by ambulance, and had his liver 'pumped'..
But what does that mean? and whats the procedure?

Answers:
He had his stomach pumped not his liver. A tube was put down his throat into his stomach with a Liquid, this was then pumped up through his throat and into a bowl. it removed the alchocol in his tum.
Not a pleasant procedure.
You cant have your liver pumped - he would have had his stomach pumped which is not a very pleasant procedure but if you are an addict and drink too much that's what happens to save your life.
I hope he appreciates all the people and money it has cost to make sure he can go out and do it all again.
