what is this lump in my neck?!

Question: What is this lump in my neck?
its not massively visible however i can feel it when i turn my neck and press down on it, a sharp pain. its only on one side of my neck at the front just under my jaw- and its been there for about 4 days. is it worth seeing a doctor or should i leave it? any ideas on what it could be?

Answers:

It can be a muscle spasm for they will give you pain and because that muscle is shortened it makes it harder to turn your head one way. You have to free up your neck muscles to get rid of that problem and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

I have the same thing, my dad and a doctor said it is a swollen gland, you can try rubbing around it or pushing on it, and that sometimes decreases the bump...but not always if it does not, just leave it alone. It is nothing serious.

You should go see the doctor yes but it might be a glans my son has a little lump i had it looked at and was told it was a glans and its fine just leave it he has had it for 5 yrs. But that's not to say that's what yours is so yeah get it looked at.
