Why do the muscles in my right leg heal faster than in my left leg?!

Question: Why do the muscles in my right leg heal faster than in my left leg?
I work out 6-7 days a week. I am training for a marathon and usually run 5 days a week. However due to ankle pain, calf stiffness, temporary calf numbness (lasts a few minutes) and, now, really sore quadriceps, to the point where I am limping (after weight training my legs) in my left leg, I have to take a break for a few days from running, but am still cross training.
I'm assuming my right leg is just stronger and that is why it heals faster? What can I do to heal my left leg faster and help it catch up with the right?!

Answers:

You are over exercising your muscles! Unless you give your muscles time to heal, the fibers aren't gone get stronger but rather increase the risk of you seriously getting hurt. Your right side isn't healing faster but rather it was always stronger to begin with, so it was not as damaged. Only thing you can do at this point is ice your muscles couple times a day for 15min and rest. I would strongly recommend you avoid running until the muscles have had time to recover. In the meantime, if you are able, try swimming. I understand your trying to get in shape, but it does no good if you are hurt and can't even compete.
