What is wrong with my legs?!
Question: What is wrong with my legs?
It was like period cramps in my legs what did I do wrong?
I don't want it to happen again so should I just not stretch for the rest of the week?
Answers:
You have overworked the muscles. Drink a lot of water to help flush out the uric acid. Light stretching and hot soaking baths, possibly with epsom salts, can help. Massage the muscles gently, and use something like Bey-Gay or Icy Hot before going to bed (but not when you've been rubbing the area, or it will feel like it is burning).
Cramping in the legs can also be helped by taking 100 mg of Magnesium citrate. Magnesium helps the muscles relax. The citrate form is best absorbed, but do not take more than 100 mg a day. Too much can cause diarrhea.
If you have any tonic water in the house that contains quinine, drinking a glass of that can also help with leg cramps. Other than that, the pain and stiffness should improve over the next couple of days and you will be back to normal.
Next time don't try to do so much at once if you are not used to it, and drink water before and during exercise periods to prevent the build-up of uric acid in the muscles that causes the stiffness.
well it sounds like you over worked the muscles in your legs causing your legs to have a muscle spasm try using a heating pad or ice pack to the effected areas in both of your legs.... and don't worry i am not a spam bot lol.
it means that you are really healthy and u don't need to do any more stretching
