Metatarsal Injury Information?!

Question: Metatarsal Injury Information?
Alright so a week and a half ago I had a lads night out due to a recent break up with my girlfriend, got absolutely plastered to the point I don't remember much part from going to a children's park. The next morning I noticed walking was painful, just thought it was a small sprain or bruising so I carried on and tried to walk on it, also played football which was a big mistake because that put me in real severe pain. Eventually I gave in and went into a walk in clinic where I got seen but had no X-Ray they just said it was inflammation of the tendons and that if it doesn't clear within a few days to go to my GP, it got worse so I went to A&E where I had an X-Ray for my foot came back fine so no break. The doctor said it was just inflammation of the soft tissue around my metatarsal, surely it should be better after a week? If I'm honest the pain varies, I'm resting it as he said. Anyone experienced this or something similar? Help cause I want to get back to work, money needs to be made haha!
Many thanks
Dave

Answers:

I fractured my 5th metatarsal last week! I have an aircast boot. You should rest, ice, compress, and elevate. This is the RICE method. If you go around a lot maybe try crutches? And to stop the imflammation try ibuprofen, NOT aspirin. This delays healing and is bad for long-term.

13 years old, yes. I am smarter than the average bear haha
