Question: How long should i take to taper off Tylenol #3?
I started taking Tylenol #3 about two years ago for pain. I took one pill a day everyday at 5PM for about 20 months, then I upped the dose to about 3.5 to 4 pills per day and I have been taking that many for about 4 months now. I want to taper down to zero. I quit cold turkey once before in the hospital and it was horrible. How much and how long for each reduction in dosage should I do? I heard to reduce about 10% per week, does that sound right?

you can safely do it in 15 days, 1st day take normal amount (3piils) do this a few days, about the 4th day start cutting to 2 pills daily, 8th day cut to 1 pill daily, 12 day 1/2 pill daily..15thday cut all pills
