What should I say to my doctor?!

Question: What should I say to my doctor?
My doctor always asks if I am sexually active. This is a family doctor NOT a gyno.

8 months ago I went to have sex with my boyfriend, we were both virgins and neither of us even kissed anyone else. He was wearing a condom and we tried to have sex but nothing happened.

I gave him....some manual sex a few times and a few months later I broke up with him (other issues.)

Anyways he was very caring and considerate of my feelings and he went to get tested at a doctor. The doctor said since my boyfriend hadn't even kissed anyone and since he had no symptoms and his parents were clean that he didn't need testing.

Do I have to say that I am sexually active? Since we didn't really have sex and all that happened was that our parts touched with a condom and a few handjobs (sorry, graphic.) does that truly count? Since it was 8 months ago it isn't really active and I don't plan to have sex any time near in the future.

And I don't have any symptoms or changes (but I know some are "silent")

Thoughts?

Answers:

just be honest and say that you haven't had actual intercourse, like there was no penetration involved but you have been experimenting with hand jobs, and if you have given oral sex then yes that is sexually active.
