I'm considering become a physical therapist, but I'm not passionate ab!

Question: I'm considering become a physical therapist, but I'm not passionate about fitness and being active?
I'm more passionate about helping people heal. Phys ed was never my thing. Is that in conflict with being a physical therapist?

Answers:

PT and PE are totally different. PT is a wide open field. You treat patients from newborns to geriatrics and everything in between. Sports is such a small part of it. There is pediatrics, rehab patients, wound care, lymphadema, women's health, surgical patients, cardiac patients, stroke patients just to name a few.

You will be fine. Best wishes.

well
because you like helping people heal, its not in total conflict but it will help if you like exercising
if you like helping people heal, you could be a doctor, nurse, a regular therapist (help them heal mentally), pharmacist stuff like that
but as long as you don't mind spending a lot of time helping people exercise and telling them what kind of exercises they should do you should be fine
