Really weird sensations when I try and sleep. Always at night.?!

Question: Really weird sensations when I try and sleep. Always at night.?
I'm 17, girl, going on 18 now, and I have anxiety. The really paranoid one. I try so hard to keep it under control. I meditate, try and eat healthy and do a few breathing excises every now and then. Lately though I’ve been happy. All good.
When I try and fall asleep everything will be fine at first. I listen to composures from movies to calm myself, ones like James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, or James Horner. Nice stuff like that. Again, everything will be fine, but after awhile I get these really weird sensations up around my legs and inner thighs, like shivers. Sorry, this is really hard to explain. Then I feel as though something is touching me, poking me, or crawling on me. I don’t know. But there’s nothing there. Nothing at all. I deliberately lay on my side because I’ve suffered from sleep paralysis at least twice within 6 years, and I have no wish to go through an experience like that again (its terrifying). The other night I just thought it was my kitten walking on me to get to his kitty litter but when I woke up he was asleep just above my head (he likes the pillow) and then everything is just full alert. I woke at least once hour, feeling different things. One will be the weird crawling sensation, another would be a horrible feeling of difficult breathing and Id even have two fingers numb/ pins and needles sort of thing when I wake. No, I wasn’t sleeping in them. I'm extremely paranoid and I’m beginning to believe that there’s even something there. I honestly get that scared I end up waking my mum and asking to sleep in her bed. I'm extremely embarrassed to admit that.

Is this all in my head? God, I hope so.

Answers:

dont worry, its very normal its happens to a lot of people but in different stages and strengths
from what you have said, you are expereincing sleep paralysis..its not dangerous .you will feel sacred and maybe you hear your name is called, weird sensations, somebody is watching you,
my advice is to face those feelings and face your fear ,since facing them will lead not being scared at all and will slow down this sensation believe me.if you saw shadows or something look at them and be scared(they are not real)..preferably dont open your eyes at all(your eyes will not be stable to see normal ).Anyway, what you are experiencing is normal and interseting.why?..1st because ots happens a lot. 2nd becasue it is maybe a sign for experiencing astral projection which is a very pleasant experience even if sleep paralysis is somehow scary (if you really want to get scared)..search for "Astral Projection"..see astralboobaby on youtube talking about sleep paralysis and astral projection and you will understand !!

What a play on words, in your head, yes it's your brain, but what's causing it. Does your household use chemicals, cleaners, colognes, fabric softeners ? I'd change them out regardless if they are the cause or not, pick a death, when it comes to those. But that would be my first opinion, your having neurological problems, might have some psychological components, but I'd say primarily that's not your diagnosis. So no, not in your head like you think. What's your diet like ? The same culprit, chemicals, either genetic mutations or directly from the crop, darn things are everywhere. And the neurological effects are well known, just kept secret as best possible. Do you exercise, even a daily walk could help a good deal. It's all a start, and your just getting started, so keep seeking answers.
