How to make a stye go away?!

Question: How to make a stye go away?
Well I have what i think is a stye. It is a small painless white bump or pimple if you like, that is right on my top water line. Like I said, it doesnt hurt and is causing no irritation at the moment. I only found it today and naturally its freaking me out after looking at google images of a stye. So first off, how do you know its actually a stye and then how would you get rid of it? Ive read of people using a teabag, but what kind of tea bag? Green or what? Please someone help me out, those pics look nasty and im freakin. thanks

Answers:

If it is just a white dot - and is not hurting - it is NOT a stye --
A stye hurts like a MF -- and is really an infected eyelash follicle --
Leave the little white cyst alone - before you get it infected --
If there is an eyelash in the center of the cyst - then use tweezers to pull out that lash - if it really hurts or has infection on the root - it may turn into a stye -
You could try putting a warm compress (hot wet washcloth) on it several times per day to get it to "open", drain or go away -
If it gets red, runny or swollen- you might need antibiotics -
dont' use eye make-up or contacts until it is well -

I found a cream at the drug store. I never had one go away in a day, and I never found a drop that worked. But as I said, that was years ago. Perhaps there is a drop that will help, but the pharmacist can help you.

Many many years ago I worked for a short time at a stone quarry and the dust seemed to cause sty's for me.

The best way to treat a stye is with a warm wet cloth applied to your eye a few times a day for about 10 minutes each time. If however the area grows larger, starts to get painful, affects your vision, has a discharge or lasts more than a few days see a doctor. Good luck

Just get some eye drops, it'll disappear in one night. Trust me, I used to always get styes.
