What do you think they'll say about my wrist?!

Question: What do you think they'll say about my wrist?
Well I was told I'd sprained my wrist and then we went back last Saturday and they suspected a scaphoid fracture. I have an appointment at the fracture clinic tomorrow. The symptoms are easing a tiny bit but the are still quite bad. Do you think it was just sprained or what do you think they'll say?
thanks x x

Answers:

If they said it might be the scaphoid, the chances are it is (sorry, i know it sucks). This is the second most common injury next to broken radius. You DEFINITELY want to take care of the problem, because it has a tendency to not appear serious enough, buy can permanently damage the function of your hand. Number one problem of this condition is that it sometimes goes undetected. An easy way to tell if there is something wrong with scaphoid is this- Do you have any pain/swelling in the area between you thumb and index finger of your hand from above (not the palm- the other side)? this area is called Anatomical Snuffbox and usually swells up and hurts if the scaphoid is fractured.
I hope it is not a fracture. Feel better.

Med school- you will need to see a doctor for this, mine is just an advise.
