What kind of injury is this?

OK I was walking down the stairs and I was going fast...aparently too fast... and I tripped over my toe and it made a REALLY loud "CRACK". Now ( a couple min later) and my toe,the second one, is red! It really hurts and doesnt have noticable swelling(yet)it still hurts from the accident. What could the reason be?

it tingle's and hurts if I move it...I need to know cuz i was planning on traveling to sholo 2moro(or however you spell sholo the place by flagstaff in Az)

I can move it a little but I'm having trouble bending it completly. It hurts if I do move it tho.

odds are a broken toe.

There are three bones in each toe that can be easily injured in ways that you describe.

Signs of a fracture include exquisite tenderness that is localized over the bone, swelling, bruising, pain with weight bearing.

I would ice and elevate the foot above your heart as much as possible. If the pain persists then I would go to see an orthopedic surgeon for an X-ray within a week.

You may have trouble wearing shoes that allow the toe to bend. Look for stiffer type of sandals or shoes with space in the toe box.
