My mother in law, saw me ironing while barefoot, and claimed it was a known danger. can anyone back this up?

This is a bet with my mother in law. the bet is specifically about ironing, and not just any electrical appliances.

This is a bet with my mother in law so please help. She claims ironing barefoot is known to be super-dangerous. Has anyone heard of this? We are looking for some authoratative site specifically saying it is dangerous to iron, and not just a site saying saying that electrical appliances are dangerous barefoot in general..

in the past this was true, however, all irons are required to have ground prongs on the plugs now, no danger of shock anymore.
