Answers:
Your husband shouldn't have peeled the blisters off. That is medically incorrect and you should tell him so.
If the burn is extensive, like over 1/3 of your back, the pain is severe. Go to an ER and ask for some pain medication. To ease the itching and help yourself sleep, you could take 25-50 mgs. of Benadryl. It makes most people very sleepy, although it does give you a bit of a hangover.
You can put a damp towel on your burned area and then turn a fan on it. The fan will cause rapid cooling, which will give quite a bit of relief. Just keep the towel damp (have your husband do this, he owes it to you). You could also try getting drunk for a couple of days; alcohol does work as an anesthetic. Finally, avoid sunburns in the future. They're awful and they cause permanent damage to the skin.
