Ouch!!!!!!!!?!
Question:
Ouch!!!!!!!!?
My teenage daughter was jumping off a bridge into the river today. (it's a local thing, everyone does it) but today she went too deep too fast and there was a pop in her ear. Now her ear hurts. Any ideas how to help the pain?
Answers:
Quite likely that Your daughter has perforated her ear drum (tympanic membrane): Without a doubt, you should place nothing in her ear until she is seen in the E.R. or urgent care.
Warm packs (dry) maybe comforting and Tylenol or ibuprofen as per age/weight dosing instructions.
Because she was swimming, antibiotic coverage is likely, required.
Unfortunately she can't get definitive treatment until her ear is examined.
