Why can't we get a good night's sleep?!

Question:

Why can't we get a good night's sleep?

This situation seems weird to me. My boyfriend just moved into his own place. I spend 50% of my time there. When he lived with his folks, his bed was very comfortable, spacious, and we both slept well. Now that we have his bed in a new place, neither of us get a restful sleep, wake up multiple times, and wake up feeling really tired. The bed also feels smaller than it used to!

Neither of us know what to attribute this to. His stepdad suggested it has to do with which direction the headboard is facing, like the magnetism of the Earth. It now faces north, whereas it used to face west. We don't think it has to do with "getting used to" a new place, as we have traveled and never usually have a problem with new places.

Anyone have any suggestions? Would getting a new bed help?

I'm sorry, I forgot to add that there is almost no way he can reposition his bed. The room is rather small, and there is only one outlet. The air conditioner won't go anywhere else and there is a closet in the way. Sorry I forgot to mention that!

Answers:

Stress. Get good exercise during the day and establish a cooling-down routing to teach your body when it's time to go to bed. Then stick to a TIME to go to bed and get up.
