Can slapping your ear (not incredibly hard) cause permanent damage?!

Question:

Can slapping your ear (not incredibly hard) cause permanent damage?

I was sitting in my room just a few minutes ago, and I realized something stupidly obvious. I went to slap my head, being the dramatic person that I am, but I managed to hit my right ear instead.

Now this ear seems to hear everything at a slightly lower tone/pitch than my left one. My hearing in the right ear is noticably 'flat,' in musical terms (not a full note though, Enya in B-flat still sounds like B-flat, but flatter than normal), and my balance seems a bit off too. Somebody PLEASE tell me that this isn't permanent...

What did I do to myself?! T_T

Answers:

You will be fine. You didn't puncture your eardrum, so it's just your inner ear and eardrum getting back to normal.
