I've had bursitis in my shoulder for about 3 months?!

Question:

I've had bursitis in my shoulder for about 3 months?

and it feels a lot better than it did but, it still kills me to raise my arm. Should I be trying to exercise it and if so, what kind of exercises are appropriate?

I've gone to the Dr (nurse practitioner) and she just gave me ati-inflammitory pills. They helped some but I need mre advice. I thought YA might be able to help.

Does this affect you, as a lot of pain in your shoulder, and it inhibits lifting or twisting of your shoulder? This is what I had a couple of years ago. I could not use my right arm to drive, trouble dressing, lifting or twisting my arm or shoulder. It started out feeling like I had just slept on my arm/shoulder wrong, but kept getting worse and worse. By 6 or 8 weeks, I ended up just holding my arm against my body, so it wouldn't cause any pain. I didn't go to the doctor (I know - bad thing to do), because I was afraid they would simply suggest surgery. I looked online and found references to Shark's Cartilidge for joint pain. I tried it, and it worked fantastically. After about 3 days, I saw some improvement. The improvement continued over the next few weeks, until it was totally pain-free. (I tried discontinuing it for awhile, and the pain began, again). Once it was feeling better, I didn't have to keep using it. They say that Shark's Cartilidge helps replace collagen. I don't know why it worked for me, but it was a great relief. You should not try it if you have a heart condition or specific symptoms of high cholesterol. Look online for all the information and see what you think. It sure worked for me, but it may not work for everyone.
