Question: Quick first aid tips and advice for open wounds?
no i havent hurt myself, but i'm such a clumsy ***** at the best of times, so is there any tips and advice you can give that i can do while waiting for said ambulance or before i go to a+e that will help the doctors out a bit for when they come to me or i go to them?

First thing is to stop the bleeding by applying pressure directly to the wound and elevating the injured area. Use sterile gauze or a bandage to stop bleeding, failing that, just use a clean tea towel. Keep applying pressure until the bleeding has stopped, then loosely cover the area with sterile gauze to help prevent infection.
