yes they are similar in their drug class but not the same ingreidiant...we just found out that my fiance was allergic to asprin so i was letting him take ibuprofen instead..then he blew up like a balloon...and the doctor said that if you are allergic to asprin then you should not take ibprofen or naproxen because of the similar ingrdiants...hope this helps we still haven't figured out what to do about his pain...
