$60 is extremely low cost compared to most clinics. According to insurance regulations, if you have not been seen in 3 or more yrs at the same clinic, you are considered a new pt .Most office visits are based on complexity from level 1 to olevel 5, with 5 being the most time consuming and costly. My office charges alot more than $60, our cheapest basic office visit for new pts is $85. Have you asked your physician or his billing coordinator ? They are really the only ones who can explain their billing methods. I am not trying to sound coarse, but $60 is not alot by most clinic's standards.
