I am depressed & it is not going away even with my meds that i stoped takein!

Question: I am depressed & it is not going away even with my meds that i stoped takeing today?
Answers:

how long have u been on the medication for as it often takes a while to start. i have suffered from mental health problems for many years and have had to b on medication for a lot of that time it may not seem like it but things will eventually get better but you need to find something to focus on. although the medications do work they often work better if you have something that makes each day feel a bit less like a drag. dont get me wrong i still have days where i dont want to get out of bed but i find that life is a lot easier now that i have found the right medications that work for me it could be something as simple as this for you speak to your dr about changing the medication you are on but whatever you do dont just stop taking your medication as you may not think it is working but if you stop them you could get rapidly worse so please speak to your dr before you make any desicions about it opk

my own personal experience of mental health problems

Medication DEPLETES nutrition! and if you don't have enough of certain nutrients, you can get depressed! Get you iron, vitamin B12, and magnesium checked out at the doctors. the doctor or nurse will take a blood test to determine if you lack any of them. also, take omega 3 essential fatty acids supplements or eat more salmon... nutrition is everything! don't eat carbs (bread, pasta, rice). eat a clean diet of protein, vegetables, fruit, nuts, and greens. make sure you exercise every day (even an hour walk a day helps)... have you ever heard of the raw food diet? google it and how it can cure depression. if you do go on it though, make sure you're getting enough vitamin B12 and iron.

Meds only make those emotions "invisible" they don't cure depression.

When you feel depressed, run around the block until you are exhausted! Physical activity will actually generate "positive" chemicals in you.

Also, buddhist meditation does wonders

Me too, but I think its all in our minds, like if you or I think about it all the time.

working out is a great way to stay postive your body feels great and you'll be too tired to think about being sad
