Answers:

I agree you MUST go to your doctor right now!

*Migraine*
This seems like migraine is the most likely from what you describe to me and if the semi blindness disappears in a while but the headache, and or, sickness remains then it most probably is what they call a 'classical migraine' which often begins with the sort of visual disturbance you describe.

However if you are an adult past puberty and you have never had theses before it is very unusual for them to start now - unless you are a woman and pregnant as they can start for the first time then.

But even if you are I agree that you should go to the doctor as soon as you can as even if this is a migraine if you have never had them before it need checking out.

*Macular Degeneration*
Other options are macular as someone else mentioned but this is an 'old age' problem. If you are under 50 this would be VERY unlikely. My mother has macular and is now fully blind and hers was considered to come on unusually young - in her middle 40s - but macular rarely begins any earlier than this
Usually happens slowly with only a slight milky patch in one eye in the middle and gradually gets worse over years and affects both eyes until their is only peripheral vision or none
VERY unlikely to just wake up with it one morning

*Optic neuritis*
A further option - which is irritating and disabling but does eventually go - is Optic neuritis.

Unfortunately I have has two bouts of this myself. The myelin sheaf round the optic nerve is attacked by a virus ( or in up to 50% of cases it can be a first sign of MS thankfully in my case it was not) The blindness is usually in the middle of the eye and gradually spreads to all parts in some cases and then lasts for up to 8 weeks and then gradually recovers
However this usually only attacks one eye at a time

*Detachment or tear of The Optic Nerve*

This is the possibility which is the most immediate in terms of emergency, it can lead to loss of sight and can be life threatening which is why any sudden loss of sight has to be checked out.
However again this is usually only in one eye
And the headache with it so bad that people scream, vomit and need emergency care ( and rarely could type out a question like you have or even look at a monitor)
But you still need to get it checked.

There are other possibilities but I will not go on - just get yourself to the doctor.
