Muscle cramps in my forearms?!

Question:

Muscle cramps in my forearms?

I recently began working, part-time, with a landscaper. The job I'm currently doing---it s a very big job, and we'll be working at it for several weeks---involves pulling a lot of deep-rooted weeds. I'm not at all used to the activity.

Now, after just one full day of work, I have some bad cramping in my forearms, especially the left (I am right-handed). The cramps make my hand want to close into a fist!

Tomorrow, I'm back to work all day. Any tips for reducing the cramping? I can always take pain reliever for the pain.

Answers:

Whenever you begin hard labor that your body isn't accustomed to, you'll definitely feel some discomfort, however this will pass as you do get used to it.

The best way I find to deal with cramping is massaging the affected area for as long as necessary.
