Diarrhea disagreement?!
Question:
Diarrhea disagreement?
So, my boyfriend and I were talking about diarrhea and we seem to have different ideas on what diarrhea actually is....
1) runny poop (even in just one sitting)
2) continous pooping (ie, running back to the bathroom) (which is usually runny as well)
sorry this is so strange.....but which is right??

Personally, I would consider diarrhea to be a loose, watery stool. The medical definition, however, is more specific.
Passage of excessively liquid or excessively frequent stools. Usual criteria is a mass of over 200 grams with a frequency of more than 3 times per day.
A simple increase number of bowel movements is called hyperdefecation.
