i got my cartilage pierced on 6/26, making this piercing 2 weeks old. 3 days after i got it, i realized the stud was too tight so i changed it to a 14k gold hoop, and my ear got better. i got this pierced with a gun

well, this gun is packaged, can be bought at a store and can be only used once. its pre-sterilized and i sterilized it again before piercing. a small bump's been forming but i think it went away. well so now, and today, i realized that there is a small 'pimple' looking thing next to my piercing, on the back of my cartilage, idk wat it is yet, but im thinking its a keloid (researched it and i really hope its not).

i clean it 2-3 times daily.

anyone know wat it is and any tips of getting rid of it before seeing a doctor?

I have 11 piercings and the one that took the longest to heal was my cartilage, I had a pimple like thing on the backside of the piercing that I believe was kinda under the actual hole, it got bigger and bigger until I finally took the earring out and popped it, it wasn't a pimple it was close to being infected. Which is completely normal for this type of piercing, this type takes a very long time to heal and until it does you really need to take the earring out when you sleep but I would give it about 3 more weeks before you start doin that, until then use peroxide on the entire area several times a day with the earring in, do not be taking the earring in and out at all but while using the peroxide push the earring back and forth thru the hole. You should also be using some type of ointment to keep it from getting infected. Like I said I have 11 from waste up and this was the worst one of all, it took nearly a year to heal completely, I still have to take it out every other night or so because it will start to hurt and get red and I have had it for 7 years now.
