Question:

I need some help please?

I think that i have exotropia and i would like to get it corrected. but right now i dont have the money. i would like to know is there anything that i can do at home to correct it. I know they have exercises, i want to know can i do them at home? Or do anyone know how can i get the money to get it done.

Answers:

Depending on your insurance, many offer a comprehensive vision plan. Most will, at the least, cover the basic check up and a pair of glasses each year.

Your condition generally requires an optician to properly evaluate it and decide on a course of action. Corrective lenses are common. Surgery is a little bit more risky and often requires a follow up procedure.

In the mean while, there are several exercises you can do to help your eyes focus as a team. Reading a distant chart and gradually walking closer helps train your eye to better focus over distance. Most people with exotropia experience more difficulty when focusing on nearby objects, such as reading.

I'd highly recommend reading up on your condition here:

Hope that helps!
