I was feel down and hit my face on a metal counter at work and... then fell to t!

Question:

I was feel down and hit my face on a metal counter at work and... then fell to the floor and hit my knees..?

a lot of customers saw me and were really worried. I went and told my boss and the owner of the restaurant and they said it will be ok it will go away in a minute...well it didn't I felt awful. I did all my work without complaining and they eventually let me go home early. I didn't think it was safe to drive so my parents came and got me. I told my mom about how I was feeling and she called our family doctor and he told us to go to the emergency room right away...so that is what we did! So I found out I sprained my neck and was going to be bruised...I also received a doctor's note to return to work in two days and a prescription...I then called into work the next day and left a message on my employers machine and told him I went to the doctor and all...Later I called again to see when I could go back to work and told him that he would get the paper work from workers comp he told me that I wouldn't be coming in for the rest of the week and only one or two next week...is this legal?

Answers:

i don't know if it is legal for your boss to lessen your schedule. maybe he is doing it until you feel better. if not than it really was a good thing that you went to the Dr and found out that you sprained your neck. that way if by chance they do not do anything at your work (as far as Workman's comp) you still have your Dr notes and such. keep on them and make sure they help you out. if not then see if you can find a lawyer that works on this type of issue in your area. they can at least have a consultation with you at no charge.
