Bellybuttons can unravel?
Has any one's bellybotton unravell and if so did it hurt and how did you get it back to normal?
Answers:
Your belly button can't unravel, but you can have an umbilical hernia. This is usually a protrusion in the navel area that is caused by damage to the underlying muscle and/or scar tissue(from birth and cutting the umbilical cord).
I had this at the age of 30, from an umbilical cord issue at birth. In my case there was no pain. I had a bump that I could push back in and in would stay for a few seconds then push back out. My doctor scheduled surgery pretty quickly as he said it could tear more and cause pain and some serious injuries. Surgery was pretty easy and relatively pain free.
I got a brand new belly button out of it, no scar.
