ok!!!! i want to go get my tongue pierced in july... i've heard that i barely even hurts when you're actually getting it done but it's the most excruciating pain ever after... so my questions are

1. does it hurt while getting it done?
2. how long after does it hurt?
3. how bad is the pain?
4. how much does it cost approximately.
5. what are the chances of it getting infected
6. and if yours were to close up for some reason... would it be worth you going to get it again?

i'm not askin for ppl to tell me whether to do it or not or their opinion on tongue piercing... i'm asking for ppl with the piercing or no of someone to ask the questions that i asked... so thankx but no thanx...

Not that I recommend getting one or anything -- and I don't agree with all the people above me... (some clearly have issues)... my daughter got one about 2 or so weeks ago.

She claims it wasn't that painful (she's a BIG baby when it comes to needles too).

It was swollen for about a day or two... but she was fine after that. But she took care of it -- listerine rinses and something else, I can't remember what... some bottle of stuff the piercer gave her.

I still wouldn't recommend it, but if you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it whether or not we say so.

I think she paid $30.

My wife used to have one and it healed completely and she said VERY fast too -- within a few days it closed up.
