Intense sharp pain in right ankle?!

Question:

Intense sharp pain in right ankle?

When I was walking today my ankle had this sharp pain in it. Only in my right ankle, too. Then after a few steps (from 5 to 15) it stopped. But then came back after a little while. So about 1/3 or 1/4 of the time when I'm walking this happens. And it hurts! I grit my teeth and clench my fists so that I don't screem. Walking is a big part of my life. It is how I get around town. What is wrong and what can I do?

Answers:

it could be that you are putting more weight on your right foot. Try placing a cushion in your shoes and getting a foot massage as often as you can. This will help circulate the blood flow. People dont realize how much work our feet do...they carry us all day. The least we can do is pamper them. I have pain in my right ankle too and theres a certain spot that whenever my bf massages, i feel like i am in heaven. If your pain is really sharp, talk to your doctor about it because i have a friend with diabetes and this happens to her often...just go get it checked out. Im sure youre fine and you probably just pulled something. good luck.
