Chronic Lower Back Pain?
Since I was a teen about 18-19, I have always had back pain. I am now 25. People would always tell me, oh your too young to have back pain so I just ignored it. I can't recall what its from and the back pain is not constant 24/7.
However, when I go for a jog, do the dishes, swing a golf club a few times, or trim the weeds. I get enough back pain to where I need to constantly shift my weight or stop doing what I was doing all together. Weight shifting does not stop the pain but it helps w/ the pain. I'm not sure if that makes sense. I hope it does. The pain comes on in minutes and stays for a few days and goes away. Gradually decreasing in intensity of pain over time. The pain stays in one general area and does expand else where.

Episodes of remitting and exaccerbating back pain, especially if it occurs within minutes of beginning an activity is highly suggestive of pain of mechanical origin. Most likely it is discal related (such as episodes of bulging disc)...even if it hasn't even progressed to the buttocks of legs. It most commonly affects people between the ages of 25-50, but can occur outside these ages quite easily.
The fact that your pain remains central and is not constant may be a good indication that you may be able to manage this problem without further progression of your symptoms. However, I suggest you see a PT with MDT experience (these are experts in mechanical pain)...preferrably when you are having an episode of pain. Most likely, you would only need a few sessions to learn what to do.
