Would you go to the ER for this?!

Question: Would you go to the ER for this?
I have had a migraine now for a week , which is not abnormal for me. However, I am now having problems seeing straight and I feel really faint. I can't eat much right now without feeling like I will vomit. I have to wear shades even at night with all the lights off because the visual stimulation is too much.. Typing this is excrutiating but I figured I'd get a few opinions since I don't have much money and I don't need another ER bill if I can help it.

Answers:

Hey Mrs. Lawlis,

I would say yes. For over a week is not good. ER costs you nothing "Up front" Yes, you will get a bill later, but your health and well being is more important than that bill. Pay it or don't. At least you will be taken care of!

Don't know where you are, but if you are in L.A. County (CA), you can call 211 from any phone, and they will help you get/find medical help with no money or insurance at all. Very nice people too, and you actually talk to a Live person. If not in CA, go to your local county facility/hospital. They will also help you with little, no money, no insurance.

Hope this helps?

Take care!

If it were me ya i would be running to the ER!Headaches are not normal for me & neither is seeing problems. Most times for me if something goes wrong im on immediately. In your case sense you do not want the ER bill i would go to the doctor on monday. Make sure you & have someone else drive you though sense you cant see right. I would have your doctor do some blood work on you. Headaches for a week is not normal.

I would not go to the ER , but i would definitely get a doctors appointment. I to suffer from migraines, and i suggest you take some Excedrin turn off all the lights and sip lots of water , sounds like you could be dehydrated.

Good luck!

you need to go to the ospital, these could be the symptoms of serious brain complications such as a hematoma and other conditions. you need scans to make sure you are okay

Firefighter-EMT, WFR, Lifegaurd

Absolutely, what if it is some kind of brain damage? Then you would need immediate attention. I suffer from mild migraines sometimes, but it sounds like you do need medical attention.
