Is severe pain in muscle normal after being pierced by rusty/dirty nail?
Had dirty nail pierce palm muscle @ base of thumb. Some swelling with severe pain @ any slight movement. I've had a tetanus shot within past 10 yrs. I've already taken Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen (5/500) & pain still persits, wondering if Motrin (Ibuprofen 600mg) or Tylenol (Acetaminophen 500mg) may help with swelling & pain? Which one is better or should I just take more of the Hydrocodone?

No, that is not normal. Imagine, you can be peirced by a surgical needle fairly deeply, and not feel anything at all the next day. Worse case you have tetanus, best case you have an infection. Call your doctor right away, he will want to see you right away.
