Do you think health insurance should be non-for-profit?!

Question:

Do you think health insurance should be non-for-profit?

Answers:

If, by "non-profit "you are including the government (and that's questionable as to whether its not-for-profit these days) then YES! Despite all the propaganda to the contrary, the federal gov't could easily handle this project, it wouldn't cost that much (overhead is already so much lower for medicare programs than for for-profit insurance companies) and everyone could be included. In the alternative, the states could pick up the job. I work for a state that provides an incredible health plan to its employees; I don't know why it can't expand that program to all state residents - the administration is already in place its just a matter of adding the additional people to the rolls. So, yes, I'm all in favor of non-profit gov'ts picking up the job of covering its residents and/or citizens.
