Please answer, is this bad???

ok ok. so. my dad (who lives with me, my mom, and the rest of my family) smokes pot i think. cause, i was going through his bag today looking for my cell phone, and there was a small bag of it. I've never found any before. Hes OLD too. He's 52. Is it bad for him? I once heard that pot can be a good medication for certain eyesight ilnesses or something, and last week my dad almost fainted and was having a lot of trouble with his eyes. He said they are gone now though, do you think he is just smoking the pot to get rid of the eye problems? I really don't want my daddy to be a pothead. I do not know if my mom knows either, I haven't told anyone yet. What should i do!!!

He obviously doesn't smoke it in front of you. It's probably either medicinal or something he enjoys occasionally, in private. Does he seem pretty normal otherwise - eg. doesn't spend all day lying on the sofa staring into space? If so, he probably knows what he's doing and should be trusted, and you should pretend you haven't seen it, after all you invaded his privacy by going through his bag.

I bet your mom does know - if you don't feel you can forget about this and keep it to yourself, tell her and see what she says.
