are they likely to take any blood from me before i have my tonsilectomy?
Answers:
Anytime you have a major surgery they take blood to make sure you're not anaemic etc. It's usually just routine. They take like three small vials. I had a tonsillectomy a few years ago, it's not so bad. Also, you do NOT want ice cream or any other dairy product during recovery. Things like ice cream, milk, yogurt are all bad for your recovery because your body creates excess mucus when you eat such products. Ire cream is a myth with tonsillectomy. I ended up eating a lot of fruit ice pops etc.
