I hurt my wrist. Idk what i did.IT REALLY HURTS!! HELP!!!!! ME?

Idk what i did but it realy hurts.
I went to a doctor they didnt say anything .
They just said Ice it twice a day.
But its been a week now and if REALLY REALLY HURTS!
Im not going back to the doctor.

Im not going 2 the ER i hate that place.
I only have insurence to the one doctor, That i go to. Dont ask i cant explain. Please help me it really really hurts.

Well....hmmm.

You should go back to the doctor. I know you don't want to hear that, but if it's causing that much pain there is something going on with it. Failing that...

1) Unwrap it immediately. That's the first step. You may have the bandage too tight, or it may need to move, but you've immobilized it for so long that it's stiffened up and that is whats causing the pain.

2) After a week you should alternate heat with ice. Put an ice pack on it for 20 minutes, then off for 40. Then put a heating pad on it for 20 minutes, then off for 40. Repeat.

3) Take ibuprofen for swelling and pain (even if it doesn't look swollen, it might be internally). You can take up to 600 mg every 6-8 hours, but drink LOTS of water, because it does have a nasty effect on your liver and kidneys.

4) That is just about all you can do. It might be worth getting some x-rays to determine if there is bone damage, or an MRI to see if there is a problem with your connective tissues (tendons/ligaments).
