It doesn't work on keloid scars, although it can help smooth them some. If you tend to form keloids, it's best to use it as soon as you can to aid the final appearance. It does work, but how well it will work depends on the person and the skin where the scar is located. But dermatologists used it for years, with sucess, and still recommend it, and it can be bought without a prescription now. So it's cheaper than the office visit, and it won't hurt if it doesn't work, even if it doesn't work as well as you might like it to.
