Any tips to keep ticks off??

My daughter visits her dad who lives in the country every other weekend. Almost everytime after she gets home she has ticks! We just took a huge one off her head. Any tips so maybe she won't them so much??

Using bug spray will help. If she's old enough teach her to check herself for ticks and have her dad take them off. The longer ticks stay on and bite the worse it is to remove them.
Also have her dress in longer clothes that cover her arms and legs and a hat if they go for her head. I hate ticks and would love to find a way to keep them off us permanently but no such luck so far.
